The directory and profile of Foreiggn Investment Company (Foreign Investment Capital) has lastly succeeded to publish by the CIC. The effort to realize the publishing of the directory and profile of Foreign Investment Company (PMA) has originally initiated just before the occurring of the economic crisis rocked in 1997. The emerge of the crisis has affected a rapid and continuous change and affected the project once on a delay. But, ather the mid of 1997, after the circumstances in the foreign investment companies climate has started to improve, the project has started to work out. The Directory and Profile of Foreign Investment Company is the first one its kind published by the CIC containing with 6,075 companies divided in two volumes with respectively 1,182 pages for volume one and 1,184 pages for volume two. The above companies including the latest result of our data recorded after the economic crisis occurred. As we have previously known that after the incessant economic crisis rocked Indonesia, there were many existing Domestic Investment (PMDN) companies released part or even they whole shares foreign companies and their status has also changed into PMA. Apart from that there have also lots of changes occurred within the existing PMA companies whether in their ownership, capital structure and others. After having revised, the directory and profile of the PMA has been able to appear with the latest condition. In order to prepare the book more perfect, we also include the directory with companies established under cooperation with foreign enterprises outside the framework of foreign investment capital including financial service companies, banking firms, multi finance companies, securities, insurance and also public listed companies with PMDN legal status, but their capital has also partly owned by foreign partners.
