The characteristics of Indonesia geografhic as an archipelago take part in the differentiating art and culture. As for, finding trace of Indonesian handicraft can be glided by social culture condition, hietorical approach based on physical and social society. Indonesian handicraft was born by forether traditional cultrues. They built geographic concept as a basic of nature with social culture individual as a foundation to create a work. Handicraft are found by the needs of society life as place, household equipments dinner set and cooking set, clothes up to ceremonial set in which support the appreciations to the nature. Besides, ritual and ceremony features as prayers which combined in wedding or maternity ceremony are parts of the tradition. It will lead us into an art creation.
