Label are mini - report on products - guidelines for using the products. They are also often the deciding factors when consumers select what products to buy. Overseas products naturally have to be property labeled accordance with Japanese requirements when being sold in Japan. While Japanese Products have to be propertylabeled in accordance with foreign requirements when being sold overseas. To answer some of the question which arise in actual labeling, we have prepared this hanbook 'import & labeling'. We have tried to cover as many fields and as many types of labeling and marks as possible, but of cource have not been able to encompass everything. In addition to the labels attached to the products themselves, there are requirements on the attached documentation such as intruction sheets. Here, however, wwe have focused on the labels attached to the actual products and please understand it. Further, please direct specific inquiries on the contents to the organization listed each section. We hope that this hanbook ""import & labeling"" will prove of use to everyone inolved in imports to Japan.
