On 7 September 2017, Indonesia and Singapore bilateral relations has reached its 50th Anniversary and both countries celebrate the golden jubilee by adopting the theme of rising 50. Commemorative activities have been undertaken in Indonesia and Singapore from January to December 2017 with the peak celebration marked by the leaders retreat by president Joko Widodo and prime minister Lee Hsien Loong in Singapore on 7 September 2017. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore published this commemorative book presenting 19 essays contributed by prominent individuals from Indonesia and Singapore based on their own personal experience and their respective contribution to the bilateral relations of Indonesia and Singapore.
